7th Open Call for Small-Scale project proposals under S.O. 4.6

The Managing Authority of the Interreg (VI-A) IPA CBC “Greece-Albania” 2021-2027 is launching the open calls on projects of limited financial volume under the Specific Objective 4.6 “Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation” with a total budget of 2.000.000 €

The budget for each project proposal will range from € 120.000 to € 400.000. The maximum budget for each project partner is set at € 200.000. The EU contribution is 80% of the project’s total eligible costs and the project’s national co-financing is 20% of the total eligible costs.

This Call for projects with limited financial volume aim to play a significant role in addressing and mitigating cross-border challenges by fostering valuable connections among local communities and enhancing relationships between border regions and their citizens.

Potential applicants are encouraged to carefully read the following documents to understand the main features of the Small-Scale Projects, develop their project ideas, and prepare their proposals:

DEADLINE

The dates for the submission of the project proposals via MIS for both Calls are:

–     from 29/07/2026 (start date for submission of proposals), time 12:00 Greek local time (CET+1)

–     until 30/9/2026 (deadline for submission of proposals), time 15:00 Greek local time (CET+1) at the latest.

  • A. Regional or local public bodies
  • B. Bodies governed by public law (as defined in Article 2(4) of Directive 2014/24/EU) meaning bodies
    that have all of the following characteristics:
    i. they are established for the specific purpose of meeting needs in the general interest, not having
    an industrial or commercial character;
    ii. they have legal personality; and
    iii. they are financed, for the most part, by the State, regional or local authorities, or by other bodies
    governed by public law; or are subject to management supervision by those authorities or
    bodies; or have an administrative, managerial or supervisory board, more than half of whose
    members are appointed by the State, regional or local authorities, or by other bodies governed
    by public law
  • C. Bodies governed by private law, non-profit organisations founded according to private law can be
    eligible under the following conditions as a whole:
    i. they are not established with the goal to obtain profit;
    ii. they do not distribute profits to the shareholders;
    iii. they should have at least completed one accounting year of operation before the launch of the
    specific call for proposals. This rule is also applicable to the local-regional subsidiary/branch
    offices.
    It should be noted that private companies, not falling under the conditions listed above, are not eligible
  • D. European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC). Eligible EGTC must be governed by the law
    of one of the participating countries where the EGTC has its registered office. EGTCs located outside
    the Programme area and not registered in one of the Partner States participating in the cross-border
    Programme are not eligible for funding. An EGTC cannot be a sole beneficiary of a project proposal
