CIRCLE stretegic project – Second Partnership Meeting

On 8 June 2026, the Municipality of Pogradec, as one of the partners of the strategic project CIRCLE – Circular Economy Park, implemented under the Interreg VI-A IPA Greece–Albania Programme 2021 – 2027, with the support of DIADYMA S.A. as the Lead Beneficiary, hosted the second official partnership meeting at the Municipality Hall of Pogradec, Albania.

The meeting was honoured by the presence of Mr. George Papadopoulos, Head of the Interreg Greece–Albania Programme, and Ms. Viktoria Stergiou, Project Officer, who expressed their support and encouragement for the successful implementation of the project.

The meeting also brought together all project partners: the Hellenic Recycling Agency (EOAN), the Municipality of Fier and the Municipality of Pogradec, reaffirming the importance of cross-border cooperation in achieving the project’s common objectives.

During the meeting, the partners reviewed the progress achieved so far and discussed the next steps for accelerating project implementation, with particular emphasis on the completion of procurement procedures, the strengthening of cooperation among partners, and the achievement of the project’s financial and operational targets.

The partners reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their close cooperation, contributing to the promotion of the circular economy, sustainable waste management, and the strengthening of cross-border collaboration between Greece and Albania.
