Kick-Off Meeting for MediLink Project: Elevating Healthcare in the Greece-Albania Cross-Border Region

The MediLink project kick-off meeting was hosted at the University Hospital of Ioannina, with the participation of representatives from the Regional Hospital “Omer Nishani” Gjirokaster, who presented the core objectives, planned actions and implementation timeline. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening cooperation among the involved entities, exchanging expertise, and promoting joint actions to improve healthcare services in the cross-border region.

During the meeting, discussions covered, among other topics, the implementation of educational workshops, the preparation of a study on cross-border patient flows, as well as communication and awareness-raising actions. The project partners reaffirmed their commitment to close cooperation and effective coordination, aiming for the successful implementation of the project and the creation of meaningful results for local communities.
