The Greek Presidency of the European Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), under the General Secretariat of Regional Development Corporate Agreement (ESPA) of the Hellenic Ministry of Economy & Finance, together with the Managing Authority of Interreg 2021–2027, is pleased to co-organise the event titled: “Unlocking Opportunities for Post-2027 Europe: EUSAIR, Interreg and Cohesion Policy in Joint Action.”
This event will focus on survey findings conducted by various authorities and organisations at a national, macro-regional and European level. These findings will provide insights for recommendations and proposals on Europe’s future beyond 2027. The conference will tackle the crucial question of enhancing synergies between EU funding mechanisms, territorial frameworks and policies to promote sustainable regional development. It aims to maintain and strengthen Cohesion Policy as a cornerstone of a cohesive and prosperous Europe while fostering innovative collaboration among EU Macro-Regional Strategies (MRS) and Interreg programmes.
In addition, the event will present the outcomes of the “Post-2027” consultation on the future of Interreg. This includes the Harvesting Report, which details the methodology and results of stakeholder and citizen surveys conducted in participating countries under the Interreg Greece-Albania programme amongst others.
The event will take place in a hybrid format (in-person and online) at the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki, Greece.
