
The European Commission has officially opened the competition for the REGIOSTARS Awards 2026! This is your chance to gain European-wide recognition for your successful cooperation projects.
We invite all eligible beneficiaries of the Interreg Greece-Albania programme to submit their applications and demonstrate how their work has made a tangible difference in the cross-border area.
Who Can Apply?
The competition is open to projects that have demonstrated excellence and high impact in regional development.

Eligible Timeline: Projects completed as of 1 January 2014 are eligible to apply.

2014-2020 Programme: We strongly encourage beneficiaries from the 2014-2020 programming period to apply, as your completed projects likely have established results and a proven legacy to showcase.
Eligible Priorities (Award Categories) Projects must submit their application under one of the following five categories, which correspond to the Cohesion Policy objectives:

A COMPETITIVE AND SMART EUROPE (Promoting competitiveness, innovation, and economic resilience)

A GREEN EUROPE (Focusing on the green transition, circular economy, and energy efficiency)

A CONNECTED EUROPE (Enhancing mobility and digital connectivity)

A SOCIAL AND INCLUSIVE EUROPE (Supporting inclusion, healthcare, and social rights)

A EUROPE CLOSER TO THE CITIZENS (Fostering sustainable integrated territorial development)

How to Apply: Applications must be submitted via the online platform. Please note that a Letter of Support from the Managing Authority is required for your application. We advise interested projects to contact the Joint Secretariat/Managing Authority well in advance of the deadline to secure this endorsement.
