The cross-border region of Greece and Albania is rich in cultural heritage, with unique museums and art collections of international significance. Cultural institutions in the region share a need to enhance the visitor experience through innovative approaches that go beyond traditional passive observation and static exhibition design.
Storytelling is becoming increasingly central to museum and gallery curation, as it fosters stronger engagement with audiences. By integrating digital media —images, sound, video and narration— museums can create immersive and interactive experiences that deepen audience understanding and emotional connection to the exhibits. Multimedia installations using light, projection and sound are transforming exhibitions into dynamic and participatory environments.
The project DIVE IN ART (“Developing Digital and Interactive Storytelling Experiences in Art Galleries and Museums”) aims to promote and enrich the cultural heritage of the cross-border area through the application of digital innovation in museums, galleries and cultural spaces.
The project will support cultural operators in enhancing their digital and communication tools, strengthening audience engagement and improving accessibility to arts and cultural history. By introducing interactive storytelling into exhibitions, DIVE IN ART will help create more inclusive, engaging and meaningful cultural experiences for citizens and visitors across the cross-border region.
