Project Description

Summary

SMART CITIES promotes sustainable mobility and low-pollution solutions in the Greece–Albania cross-border region. The project addresses common challenges such as air and noise pollution, traffic congestion and inefficient transport, while fostering cooperation between municipalities. Partners from Florina, Arta, Lefkada, Korce and Vlore will implement clean mobility pilots, feasibility studies, digital monitoring and awareness actions. A joint Smart ΚΑΙ Green Cities toolkit will ensure replication and transfer of knowledge. Citizens, commuters, youth, local businesses and tourists will benefit from improved transport, cleaner environments and better urban services. The project contributes directly to EU and national strategies on climate and mobility, supporting the transition to greener, more resilient cities.
