Thank you for all the input that led to the 1st version as well as the 2nd version of the FAQ!

We are reminding you that you were able to submit your questions until 15/03/2024, thus 20 calendar days before the closure of the 1st Call for common project proposals.

 
Access to the MIS

The application procedure in both stages, A and B, is carried out via the MIS . To access the MIS, the following requirements should be met:

Your organization is registered in MIS (body code).
The applicant has a user account valid in the programming period 2021-2027

Users who have had access to the MIS in the 2014-2020 programming period, should upgrade their account to access the system developed for the 2021-2027 programming period.

Read the manual “Guidelines for applying in MIS 2021-2027” included in the Applicant’s package and follow the instructions given per case.

INFORMATION

The Managing Authority of the Interreg (VI-A) IPA CBC “Greece-Albania” 2021-2027 is launching the 1st Open Call for Common Project Proposals, with a substantial budget of € 17,319 million.

The total budget will range from € 700.000 to € 1.5 million per project. The EU contribution is 80% of the project’s total eligible costs and the project’s national co-financing is 20% of the total eligible costs.

Within the 1st Call for Project Proposals, proposals can be submitted under the following Specific Objectives:

RSO 2.4 Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience taking into account e-co-system-based approaches

RSO 2.5 Promoting access to water and sustainable water management

RSO 2.7 Enhancing biodiversity, green infrastructure in the urban environment and reducing pollution

RSO 3.2 Developing and enhancing sustainable, climate resilient, intelligent and intermodal national, regional and local mobility, including improved access to TEN-T and cross-border mobility

RSO 4.5. Ensuring equal access to health care and fostering resilience of health systems, including primary care, and promoting the transition from institutional to family-and community-based care

RSO 4.6 Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation

The description of Programme priorities and objectives, together with indicative actions, is provided in chapter 2 of the Interreg Programme (IP) available at the Programme website here, which defines the Programme strategy and intervention logic for Interreg IPA CBC Greece-Albania Programme 2021-2027, as adopted by the European Commission.

The present Call concerns Stage A – Submission of Concept Note by the Lead Beneficiary providing a summary of their proposal with specific implementation data (for more details on the procedure see §9 of ToR).

The 1st Call for Project Proposals intends to select high-quality cross-border projects, in which relevant institutions cooperate to make border regions more resilient to common challenges, find shared solutions in fields such as environment, sustainable energy, tourism, health and more, and exploit the untapped growth potential in border areas, while enhancing the cooperation process for the overall harmonious development of the eligible area.

DEADLINE

The dates for the submission of the Concept Note via MIS are:

–     from 19/02/2024 (start date for submission of proposals), time 08:00 Greek local time (CET+1)

–     until 03/04/2024 (deadline for submission of proposals), time 14:00 Greek local time (CET+1) at the latest.
